Rafael Nadal won the first "International Award Juan Antonio Samaranch
The most successful Spanish player of all time, Rafael Nadal, has been awarded the first edition of "Premio Internacional Juan Antonio Samaranch, who has presented this afternoon at the Olympic Museum i de l'Esport" Joan Antoni Samaranch of Barcelona.

The prize, a trophy sculpture made of iron by the Catalan artist Miquel Planas Roselló, has been presented in public by Ana Gras Samaranch, granddaughter of the late Juan Antonio Samaranch., Accompanied by the President of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation, José Luis Escañuela, the President of the Catalan Tennis Federation, Francesc Orriols, and National Coach Albert Costa.

The jury of the "International Award Juan Antonio Samaranch is composed of members of the family Samaranch, figures from the world of sport and international tennis, heads of major media and major national sports dailies former Spanish tennis players.

The delivery of this first edition of "Premio Internacional Juan Antonio Samaranch" Rafael Nadal will be held on Thursday 28 April at a gala to be held in The Real Casa de Correos in Madrid. At the same event, Virginia Ruano and Carlos Moya will join Club Tennis Great Spanish, and Agustin Pujol be appointed Honorary President of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation.
